Riding Lessons For Children & Adults
We offer private, semi-private and group riding lessons, all of our lesson are currently offered in 30-minute slots. Our riding lessons start for riders aged 5 years+ and are offered to riders of all abilities and levels.
We can accommodate hour lessons for private/semi-private bookings, if you would like to arrange an hour session, please contact us directly and we can advise of our availability.
About the Riding Lessons
We have an outdoor, all purpose school with Andrew Bowens surface and flood lighting, so we can accommodate our lessons all year round!

Information About Riding Grading / Different Rider Levels
COMPLETE BEGINNER WITH LEADER
Turn, walk, halt and sitting trot.
COMPLETE BEGINNER WITHOUT LEADER
Turn, walk, halt, sitting and rising trot, turning a circle and unaided bending through cones.
BEGINNER
As grade 2, plus trotting turns and circles.
BEGINNER WITHOUT STIRRUPS
As grade 3, plus learning to ride without stirrups and trotting poles once learnt no stirrups.
ADVANCED BEGINNER
As grade 4, plus learning trot diagonals, being able to ride school movements in trot without stirrups. (This is hacking level).
INTERMEDIATE
As grade 5, plus learning to canter.
ADVANCED INTERMEDIATE
As grade 6, plus being able to canter safely, doing circles and cantering without stirrups.
ADVANCED
As grade 7, plus learning to jump (only when rider can canter safely without stirrups).
ADVANCED JUMPING
As grade 8, plus being able to jump a small fence.
ADVANCED JUMP COURSE
As grade 9, plus being able to jump a small course of fences.
Hacking
There is no better view than that between the ears of a horse; hacks are available to riders who are graded a Level 5 and above.
Hacks can be booked during our opening hours (season dependant) and are offered in 30-minute slots. Hacking can be a great way to develop and further riding skills; our hacks don’t include road work and are covered all within our land with our amazing views.
Please note: Hacks are available at our discretion and are weather dependent due to horse and rider safety.
